First the tide rushes in
Plants a kiss on the shore
from Ebbtide, Writer/s:
Carl Sigman, Robert Maxwell
How glad I am today, awakened first
to see you, feel your warmth so near as the
sky pulls the sun over the horizon. A golden tide
counterpoint to the predawn drabness rushes
to gild my morning. A lingered coda to a night in
pursuit of our secret places. My mouth plants
the memory of loving bodies wrapped in a
tangle of caresses trembling in a kiss.
We lie together savoring the day, your cheek on
my shoulder, hand over my heart, feel the
beat like waves that fondle the shore.
